CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING

PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Grantville will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Grantville Municipal Complex. The purpose of the public hearing will be to receive public comment regarding a recommendation of the Planning Commission concerning the following map amendment to the City of Grantville Zoning Ordinance: Rezone the property located at 122 & 204 Grandma Branch Road in the City of Grantville and further identified as parcel numbers

054 2242 002 and G01 2243 001 from its current zoning of Single-Family Residential District (R-20) to Single-family Residential (RS-15). A copy of the rezoning application and the Planning Commission recommendation will be on file for public review in the office of the City Clerk.

Discussion on Christmas Bonuses for Full Time and Part Time Employees (including Police Chaplains): $500 for employees with over 1 year of service; $250 for employees with less than 1 year of service (money has been budgeted).

Announcements:  

The Grantville Senior Center will be closed Thursday, October 24, 2024 to participate in the Newnan Area Golden Games at the Coweta County Fairgrounds.

The City Council will host a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, December 7, 2024 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Passenger Depot, Downtown Grantville.

City Hall Holiday Closures:

Monday, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veteran’s Day.

Thursday and Friday, November 28-29, 2024 for the Thanksgiving Holidays.

Wednesday and Thursday, December 25-26, 2024 for the Christmas Holidays.

Wednesday, January 1, 2025 for the New Year’s Holiday.
